Not that we are complaining, though! We thing the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is the perfect sojourn for families and couples likewise. The journey’s itinerary is planned thoroughly and all destinations are well spaced out. In fact, the variety of destinations and the cultural wealth they offer has to be one of the highlights of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels’ journey. However, observing from a keen eye, we could not help but notice that the journey would be so much more awesome if Rajasthan Tourism (RTDC) could add a few destinations, only to make the experience complete.
1 - Ajmer

I personally think Ajmer should always have been a part of the Royal Rajasthan’s journey, somewhere between Jodhpur and Udaipur. Besides the divine Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Ajmer has a lot of cultural insight to offer, being close to Pushkar (11 Km) that hosts the annual Pushkar Mela. There’s also the Taragarh Fort, the Akbari Mosque and a Digambari Jain Mandir.
2 - Bikaner

The fifth largest city in Rajasthan is a tourist delight; thanks to the options to the avid traveler. There’s the Junagarh Fort, Laxmi Niwas and Lalgarh Palaces, Laxmi Nath and Bjandasar Temples and, of course, the Camel Festival. Can be featured as a detour between Delhi and Udaipur.
3 - Jaisalmer

“The Golden City” has always enjoyed a fair bit of popularity, owing to its numerous forts, palaces and temples. The erstwhile princely state has plenty of visual appeal, only further accentuated by the Jaisalmer Fort, Gadsisar Lake and the colorful, 3 day Desert Festival which is held annually in January/February.
