Maharaja Express - A Train Journey Drenched In Luxury

The journey of luxury trains in our country had started in the year 1982, with the Maharajas Express being the latest offering that was flagged off in the year 2010. This luxury train offers 5 pan-Indian journeys namely, The Indian Splendor, The Heritage of India, The Indian Panorama, Treasures of India and The Gems of India. While the first three are stretched for 8 nights and 7 days, the last two are journeys of 4 days and 3 nights. The guests experience a train journey which is drenched in luxury.

The major destinations covered in the amazing itineraries of these journeys are some of the prime cities of the Incredible India such as Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Fatehpur Sikri, Gwalior, Khajuraho, Varanasi and Lucknow. You will get a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of India of Rajasthan, along with visiting the ghats of the Ganges as well as viewing some great monuments and temples that are an example of perfect architectural marvel.

There is a total of 14 guests carriages in Maharajas’ Express, where the cabins can further be divided into a Presidential Suite, 20 deluxe cabins, 18 junior suites and 4 suites where in all 84 guests can get accommodated. Each room is appointed with a personal attendant, known as Khidmatgar. Along with interesting opulent interior décor, the other modern-day facilities which one can avail on-board are Wi-Fi Internet connection, individual climate control, an electronic safe, an attached  bathroom. The train also has a lounge bar (called the Safari bar), a library and a souvenir shop.

While being on-board, you can enjoy some most delectable food along with the finest of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The train has 2 restaurants, Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal,  having the capacity of 42 seating each, serving  dishes of various cuisines. The interiors,  services and the cutlery here is unmatched for.
