The fair of Pushkar (Rajasthan) is popular for its significance and relation to the unparalleled attributes of the town of Pushkar. The Pushkar Town is situated in proximity to Ajmer City, distant from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The fair is mainly about the trade of livestock such as camels and cattle. According to a survey, the fair recorded the trade of 50,000 camels, which was the world’s largest camel fair.

For the entertainment and involvement of the guests, the fair is divided into three major segments. The first segment is about the Cattle Fair.
Apart from camel, livestock such as cows, horses, goats, and sheep, are brought here for trade. The animals are beautifully decorated. Moreover, the beautifully decorated camel owners are also healthily rewarded.

In the second segment of the fair, the culture of Rajasthan is showcased. The visitors could find stalls and shops here that are organized by traders to display beautiful clothes, aesthetic jewelries and various other artifacts that replicate the true essence of Rajasthan.
There also are small stalls put up, where the guests could get beautiful patterns inked on their body. Traditional puppet show, and folk music and dance are also the attracting features of the world popular Pushkar Fair.
In the third segment, as the fair comes towards its end, the visitors move towards the shrines and temples. The pilgrims also take a dip in the auspicious Pushkar Lake, which upholds huge mythological significance.
