The Great Rann of Kutch lies north to the Tropic of Cancer, at the top of the Kutch district. The nearest city to approach this white sand desert is Bhuj. 86 kilometers away from the town is Dhordo which is being developed as the Gateway to the Rann by the Government of Gujarat.
